The Flow of Ink and Color

Original Asian brush paintings by members of the Chinese Brush Painting Society (CBPS) of San Diego created using the traditional brush strokes and tools of this ancient art form– rice paper, ink, colors, and animal hairbrushes. The paintings depict both traditional and contemporary subjects using various brush painting styles, highlighting the diversity and breadth of techniques used by modern brush artists. CBPS artists include students and accomplished artist, many who have studied with master painters and calligraphers in China
