I was born in Rome, Italy. Passionate about painting since I was thirteen, I started showing my work in Italy in 2006. In Rome, I had several instructors, studied drawing, painting, figure drawing, ceramics and painting restoration.
I worked in an Art and Handicraft shop on the island of Ponza (Italy) in 2007, gaining experience in painting on different surfaces (ceramic tiles, china, oil painting on wood and canvas).
Two years later, in 2009, I moved to San Diego where I studied art at Grossmont and Cuyamaca Community Colleges. In 2011, I joined the Museum of the Living Artist, San Diego Art Institute, since then I have shown my work in the San Diego area.
I have tried different media but my favorite are oil and acrylic paintings on canvas or wood.

Nature’Ways

This shows highlights the power of nature to center us, recharge, heal our wounds and be one with the joy of creation.
The Chinese character for “life” represents a plant, 生 shēng, growing from the soil. I think that nothing like trees and plans connect us to life and its meaning. Nature has the power to reveal deep realities about ourselves: our lights and our darkness. I feel a deep connection with the natural world. The petals of a flower, its folds, the shadows and the highlights drag me in a dimension of pure form and energy. I am especially drawn to trees, their intricate branches, their roots and vibrant energy. I often see in them a visual metaphor of my personal life experiences. Paintings for me are like pages of a personal diary. They often narrate a one-time experience that was deeply personal and meaningful. I feel the urge to record those moments, or the visions in my head that help me make sense of our existence.
