The seventeen artists in the Atelier exhibits are:
This exhibition involves a conceptual art intervention by the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild (SDMAAG) “Atelier” in collaboration with the Barrio Artists Partnership (BAP) in San Diego. BAP was founded by San Diego artists Mario Torero and Sarah Bella Mondragon.
The SDMAAG Atelier is a workshop for experimentation and dialogue between artists and community about conceptual art and the creation of it.
Seventeen SDMAAG Atelier artists have spent months partnering with the Barrio Artists Partnership to bring to life their latest thematic project, One Day in the Life on Imperial Avenue. Their collective efforts culminate in a tribute to the community. Guild artists have immersed themselves in the history, topography, ambiance, culture and people on Imperial Avenue and translated their experience into insightful and inspiring works of art. Collectively the installation stands as one piece, an inspiration for the community.
The first exhibit for One Day in the Life on Imperial Avenue will be at the Tularosa Gallery, 2602 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, California on March 21–29, 2026.

Panel Discussions and Poetry Slam: March 23–27, 4–6p.m.
Upon the conclusion of the Tula Rosa Gallery exhibit, this entire installation will move to Gallery 21 in the Village Arts Center, 1770 Village Place, Balboa Park.
