Artist Bio

Jon Savage is a Deaf contemporary artist based in San Diego, California. His work merges American Sign Language with the color, light, and movement of the Southern California coast. Working primarily with spray paint, acrylic, and digital metal print on wood panel, Jon builds layered compositions that translate gesture and emotion into vivid visual form.

Raised in a creative family, Jon explored photography, video, and painting from an early age. His exhibitions and festival appearances across California include ArtWalk Liberty Station and ArtWalk Carlsbad, along with immersive pieces such as ASL Abstract Motion and the Video Art Still Series. Through each work, Jon invites audiences to experience art as communication, connection, and celebration.
