Mark Smith is an artist with his own view on the world, a tremendous sense
of his materials and craft. His distorted translation is applied to a typical
Architectural structure and brings a unique twist that abstracts it into its own
perspective. Whatever he chooses as subject will be brought to a unique life.
Mark paints in watercolor or oil. He is influenced by Thiebaud, Hockney,
Escher, and Wood. When you’re a kid, art is fun. The lines and colors in his paintings
reflect back to those feelings. Images that balance between realism and surrealism
set in a realm of playful distortions and unique color combinations. Mark is a
National and International award-winning artist painting in San Diego.
